Engel HSGM 110v Heat Cutter Hot Knife

The ENGEL hot cutter is designed for intermittent operation and should not be used continuously for more than twenty minutes at a time. The blade takes 6-8 seconds to heat up and heat can be approximately controlled using the on/off action of the trigger switch. The HSG 0 hot knife is ideal for cutting awnings, filter cloths, sail material, synthetic strings, and ropes. Some fabrics are prone to unraveling when cut mechanically, so the HSGM (Type-R blade included!) can be equipped with various blades and the SF cutting foot. It has a 90-watt capacity and operates on 110 volts.

The SF cutting foot is specifically designed for use with the HSG 0 and, when used with cutting tip 100R, can cut synthetic material and seal the cut selvage in one operation. This combination is particularly effective for cutting large cloth and awnings, such as sails, canvas blinds, and filter cloths. The Type 100R cutting blade has a higher capacity for separating stronger fabrics, strings, and ropes up to 15mm in diameter.
